Birds, Seals and Sheep (and ducks)
One of the great attractions in the Baie de Somme are the migrating birds. This is an ideal location for bird watching and spotting. There is also a colony of seals in the bay.
And then there are the sheep - salt marsh sheep - that graze on the vegetation on the marshes. The are a delicacy in local restaurants.
The Baie de Somme is popular with duck hunters who lure the ducks to small lakes where they meet their destiny. Strangely you never see local duck on the menu!
Golf
There is a highly rated golf course at Golf de Belle Dune - http://www.baiedesomme.fr/en/golf-de-belle-dune
Cycling is a national pastime in France and the Baie de Somme caters to this enthusiasm. But it is very gentle on the cyclist being mostly flat (there is an 87 year old resident on the site who cycles 20km a day around the area!)
Follow the link below for more information about cycle routes and cycle paths in the area.

Baie de Somme
Patrick Barkham writes a nice, food related piece in The Guardian about the Baie de Somme:

This website is dedicated to the Baie de Somme area though I don't think it does it justice!

I think this website covers more of the area though the English translation leaves a bit to be desired!
